Class Description
Diaspora Dance is a Caribbean Vibes meets Afro Pop non-stop party class! This class features an eclectic Afro-Caribbean playlist and a fusion of current movements mixed with fun classics from styles like dancehall, jazz, Afro dance, and hip-hop. And with Alicia's signature Dance Dragon Slaying supportive teaching style, Diaspora Dance is an all-levels, all-bodies space to move, be inspired, and SLAY.
About the Teacher
Alicia Langlais (she/her), also known as Alicia the Dance Dragon Slayer, is a Bay Area Dance Educator and Dance Inspiration Coach. Hailing from Bronx, NY, Hip-Hop and Caribbean culture were part of her household and community, which informed her passion for movement and dance, even after she became smitten with studio formats like ballet and contemporary. Alicia melds her Expressive Arts Therapy background with her passion for dance to create class experiences that uplift while you get down!
Please pre-register to take a class. The first 30 pre-registered people to show up will get to take class.
What should I bring?
• Danceable clothing that you’re comfortable in!
• We recommend taking class barefoot or in socks, some styles in clean sneakers
• Water bottle

The class venue, The Joe Goode Annex, is ADA compliant and equipped with two private gender-neutral restrooms.
To ensure a comfortable environment for all participants, we kindly request refraining from using scented products in our classes.
In response to COVID-19, we strictly adhere to guidelines from state and city authorities, prioritizing the safety of our community. Masks are optional in our classes, following current regulations.
