Class Description

BOE is turning 3! Come out and celebrate with us by dancing! Bring your contemporary party vibes and wear your most favorite dance pants. This class will be a fun celebration for all of you, our adored BOE community. We'll start by warming up together with follow-along exercises, then dive into learning choreography to dance our hearts out. Let's celebrate the joy of moving together over the past 3 years.

About the Teacher

For over a decade, Kristin Damrow (she/her) has been teaching dance in the San Francisco Bay Area. She shares a profound affection for floorwork, inversions, and exploring mechanics of powerful and dynamic movement, catering all levels, beginner to professional. Kristin grew up on a rural farm in Wisconsin and then lived in Chicago while earning her B.A. in Dance from Columbia College. In 2010, she moved to San Francisco, California, where she founded Kristin Damrow & Company (KDC). KDC's innovative creations have earned an Isadora Duncan Dance Award nominations and prestigious commissions from FOG Design + Art, Airbnb Design, Oakland Museum of California, and Iowa State University. Beyond her choreographic endeavors, Kristin is a faculty member at ODC Dance Commons in San Francisco  and she has taught master classes across the nation including, NYU Tisch School of the Arts (NY), Open Spaces (Portland), Columbia College (Chicago), Gibney Dance (NYC) and Mark Morris Dance Center (NYC).

Please pre-register to take a class. The first 30 pre-registered people to show up will get to take class.

What should I bring?
• Danceable clothing that you’re comfortable in!
• We recommend taking class barefoot or in socks, some styles in clean sneakers
• Water bottle

Accessibility:
The class venue, The Joe Goode Annex, is ADA compliant and equipped with two private gender-neutral restrooms.

To ensure a comfortable environment for all participants, we kindly request refraining from using scented products in our classes.

In response to COVID-19, we strictly adhere to guidelines from state and city authorities, prioritizing the safety of our community. Masks are optional in our classes, following current regulations.
